1st time?

If going to a spa for the first time makes you nervous, you're not alone. Many people have their first spa experience when they get a gift certificate to a day spa . Some people don't even use the gift certificates because they're anxious about what will happen and the finer points of spa etiquette !

Because we want your time at Life Day Spa to be stress-free and for you to know completely what your day entails, we have compiled the following information to allow you to completely relax and enjoy your day at the spa.

Check your diary;

Check you schedule and choose a convenient date. Call us on 011 465 7777 and let one of our friendly front office team guide you through the booking process. To avoid disappointment we do recommend you have more than one date in mind as your first choice may not be available. Especially when booking on the weekends. Our weekends tend to be booked a month in advance so give yourself some time before booking.

Select your spa treatments.

The basic spa treatments are massage, facial, body treatment, manicure and pedicure. A massage will help you relax and get rid of muscle tension. A facial is a deep cleansing of your face, and a body treatment exfoliates and soften your skin. You can also combine services, a massage and a body treatment is a good combination or a massage and a facial.

Select your therapist.

The quality of the therapist determines the quality of the treatment. Get a personal reference if you can.

Prepare for your spa experience before you go.

  • Drink plenty of water before and after services to enhance the benefits of your treatments.
  • Don't eat for at least an hour before or after your massage.
  • Arrive early so you have time to enjoy the sauna, steam or Swiss shower and spa pool before your treatment.
  • Allow your mind to calm down before your treatment.
  • Although most spas have lockers that lock, you might want to leave valuables at home.
  • Drink plenty of water before and after services to enhance the benefits of your treatments.
